Taif Gears Up for Thrilling Finale of Saudi Toyota 2023 Championship

Arabian Drive - Taif, known for its breathtaking landscape, is revving up to host the exhilarating finale of the Saudi Toyota 2023 Hill Climb Championship on September 8th and 9th. Organized and supervised by the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation, the prestigious event boasts Abdul Latif Jameel Company as its official partner and the Saudi Investment Bank as its strategic partner, in collaboration with the Ministry of Sports and the Taif Governorate.

One hundred forty-two elite drivers, including eight female participants, will test their mettle during this concluding round of competition. Marking the governorate’s racing debut at the Al-Mohammadia Hill in Shifa, Taif, the demanding 4.2 kilometer track contains 30 hairpin turns.

The results of this concluding round will decide the champion in each racing category and crown the overall victor. In preparation for their final showdown, competitors have left no stone unturned, as the new terrain will feature an extended track and higher speeds than the previous two rounds.

Moving into the final two days of competition, Jean Lahoud continues to lead the overall standings with 43 points, followed closely by Fadi Hamadeh with 40 points and Rabih Muayad Al-Aour with 28 points.

In the category standings, Abdulaziz Majid Al-Fadhli reigns supreme in the G1 division, trailed by Sultan Saeed Abu Nabe and Walid Zaki Mahmoud. In the G2 class, Ali Mohammed Al-Khudeir takes the lead, with Hisham Badei Al-Badei and Sultan Jalal Al-Din Hamdi in pursuit. The frontrunner of the G3 category is Mubarak Ali Al-Zubaidi, followed by Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih and Nawaf Bandar Baouzir. In the G4 class, Rabih Muayad Al-Aour claims the top spot, closely chased by Sultan Thamer Kaylou and Mohammad Al-Shuraian. Jean Lahoud maintains his lead in the G5 category, ahead of Ahmed Jamal Abdulhadi and Faisal Sufian Al-Qubani. Meanwhile, Fadi Youssef Hamadeh spearheads the G6 group, followed by Zakaria Sulwan and Saeed Zaki Al-Mouri.

This year's medalist will receive substantial prizes, including a coveted GR 86 MT car for the first-place winner and a total of 50,000 Saudi Riyals in cash prizes distributed among the top performers in each category.

Recent weeks have seen meticulous preparations to ensure the Saudi Toyota 2023 Championship maintains its reputation for excellence. This championship is one of the most crucial events on the Saudi motorsports calendar, offering unmatched preparation and competition across all categories.
